December 1 - Getting Ready

Aloha!

Well, it's the 1st of December, and three of us are here already, after a very long (4500 mile) trip. (Did you know their trees haven't lost their leaves yet?.....)
We have to meet with several of the people who are involved in our activities on this end tomorrow, as well as take care of getting our rental equipment (percussion, rental truck etc.) But it's exciting being here, and we want everything ready to go when the rest of the band arrives on Saturday.

I had an unexpected honor on the way here. On our plane was a Pearl Harbor veteran, coming back from Pennsylvania for the "Reunion" as he called it. And he had heard that we were coming!! (He has a cousin that lives in Grand Rapids, saw the piece on WZZM News, and called and told him.) So I got to chat with him for a couple of minutes, and he said he might run into us this week - said he'd be in his "dress whites" though........
