The group left very early this morning, bussed to Detroit, and flew to Honolulu - one group via San Francisco, and one group via Los Angeles, arriving this evening Hawaiian time. A total of about 16-18 hours of travel time. We have a total of 109 people in our group, counting not only band & color guard, but family members & community members as well. With all the luggage, instruments and equipment that had to come with them, we only lost one suitcase.....well, it wasn't actually us that lost it. Hopefully we'll have it by noon tomorrow.
Everyone is here, excited, but a bit tired as well. A little rest and we'll be ready and raring to go tomorrow - our visit to the North Shore, and concert at the Waialua Bandstand at 4:00.
Thanks for everyone's prayers for our safe travels. Now we can bring to fruition all the plans and rehearsing. Stay tuned.....
